Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is from Belarus and was born in Minsk. Sergey Her father (who died in 2019) was a hockey ice player. Aryna Sabalenka's career began in Minsk Belarus in May 1998. Aryna's Sabalenka holds 12 WTA Singles titles. One that was awarded the title "Grand Slam" during the Australian Open 2023. Also, she is a great doubles player. She's won two majors of this particular area. The US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both with Elise Mertens. She won two majors, in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian partners, making the Sunshine Double. Four women's teams had achieved this achievement. The Belarusian rose from second place to third place in the world singles positions on the 23rd August of 2021. Her best ranking came in January of 2023. At doubles she however pushed herself to first on February the following year after the victory in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player from Belarus to succeed in this specialty. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach from 2018, until the season finished in 2019 and then for a limited period at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann played a short partnership with her from August 2020 to September. At the time of her retirement, she's been trained by her host countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams is her role for a role model, closely followed by Maria Sharapova.
